    AfricHand Project is an initiative promoted by different Italian entities working in international cooperation, in the agro-food and industrial sectors to develop a milk production chain in Mozambique.

    COUNTRIES INVOLVED: Italia, Mozambico

    PARTNERS INVOLVED: CEFA, Consortium of no-profit Associations with Mozambique, Granarolo, FEDER UNACOMA, COOPERMONDO, Confederation of Italian Cooperatives – Emilia-Romagna, A.I.A., Emilia-Romagna Region, Municipality of Reggio Emilia, E-35 Foundation, Legacoop Emilia Ovest.

    Considered the historical cooperation relations with Mozambique, E35 Foundation together with the Municipality of Reggio Emilia and in collaboration with Legacoop Emilia Ovest, is part of AfricHand Project.

    AfricHand aims at improving life conditions of rural populations in Mozambique finding the necessary resources within the local communities. First, the project will focus on the local development, providing rural communities with livestock and teaching to future farmers the techniques for a sustainable zootechnics, where fodder production for livestock feeding represents an additional way to rationally exploit the land converted to agriculture. At the same time, AfricHand Project will tackle the issue of chronic undernourishment, which starts from pregnancy and limits children development in the first years of life, conditioning the existence of new generations.
