COM-PEMBA is a project promoted by the Italian NGO GVC- Civil Volunteer Group. The project aims at promoting community education pathways dedicated to the alphabetization and education of young women, and youth in general, in post-school age in the Province of Cabo Delgado.

The project promotes a multidisciplinary approach to school and post-school education, integrating environment, arts and local culture into capacity-building trainings in order to increase youth employability in the city of Pemba, in the Province of Cabo Delgado. Moreover, the project will support the establishment of a youth information and employment center together with the establishment of a consortium of schools that will elaborate a shared action plan for the alphabetization of children and the training of teachers and allow the exchange of best practices. In the final phase the innovative education paths emerged thanks to the international partnership will be evaluated through the technique of action research.
The E-35 Foundation, together with the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, will support GVC in the overall coordination of the project and of the trainings in the city of Pemba, as well as organize events of institutional building in the city of Reggio Emilia.
