Shaping Fair Cities
Shaping fair cities is a project started on January 1st, 2018 and that will end on December 31th ,2020. It aims at integrating Agenda 2030 within local policies in times of great migration and refugees flows.

Shaping Fair Cities aims is to raise awareness, enhance understanding and actively involve local decision makers, civil servants, CSOs and citizens in localizing SDGs 5, 11, 13 and 16 in the 8 EU regions involved by promoting the pivotal role of decentralized cooperation and local governments in the implementation of the new set of goals and paving the road to a local 2030 Agenda. Project’s aims are also:
- Contribute to promoting a critical understanding of LAs and citizens’ roles and responsibilities in relation to the interdependent world.
- Contribute to localizing SDGs and design a local Agenda 2030 ensuring the effective involvement of local governments and cities supporting the social, economic and environmental dimensions of sustainable development.
- Contribute to meeting Policy Coherence for Development in local policy making specially in relation to contemporary migration (a structural and not contingent phenomenon), and to build a new approach for local institutions.
The E35 Foundation is involved in providing support to the Municipality of Reggio Emilia in the implementation of all the activities of the project.
